General Authority for Land and Dry Ports
With over thirty four years’ experience in government service, Gamal Hegazy has been in his current position as the CEO of the GALDP since 2011. Graduating as a professional paratrooper in the Egyptian army in 1972, Hegazy fought in the 1973 war. He then moved to the admin ranks of the army where his last role was in talent acquisition and in charge of military operations logistics. He then resigned in 2000 and moved to the government transport logistics sector earning his Masters in SCM and logistics. He is currently in his last year of the PhD. His experience is split between infrastructure, transport, Supply chain consulting, logistics, end –to- end door to door services to multinationals and mega projects using project management; implementing procurement and logistics processes/procedures;developing strategic and corporate business development plans to infrastructure multinational companies both domestic and overseas. His more sensitive positions as he was the minister of transport office manager form 2000-2007 and now he is the CEO of GALDP. He is also the potential candidate to be the new CEO for the new Egyptian Company for dry ports.
