A lawyer, based in Dubai, Peter was educated at the University of Cambridge. He has background in international law, with over ten years of experience in MENA matters. Peter Gray has extensive experience advising regional governments and corporates on free zones and logistics matters. His work includes revising free zone laws to make them more attractive to investors, working to set up a free zone court, and nominated for the Court Users’ Committees for the DIFC and QFC Courts. In these capacities, he has worked with senior judges, comparative law experts, Court IT specialists and others. Peter has also advised governments in Africa and the Gulf on best practice in negotiating with investors as well as acting as counsel arbitrating logistics disputes. Peter believes that a country’s growth can be greatly enhanced by ensuring that efficient ports and free zone operations are combined with business-friendly laws and a quick, impartial adjudication process, leading to increased investor confidence.
